Paramedics rushed to a swimming pool located in a leisure center in Hyde this afternoon following an incident involving a child who was subsequently taken to the hospital. Emergency crews responded to the Hyde Leisure Pool on Walker Lane in Hyde, Greater Manchester today. Witnesses reported that the pool was evacuated as medical personnel arrived to assist. According to reports, the emergency services were called due to a child experiencing difficulties in the water. An observer mentioned seeing ambulance crews performing CPR at the scene. The child, who was conscious when rescued from the water, was transported to the hospital for further evaluation. Inquiries have been made to the North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) for additional details, and Active Tameside, the operator of the leisure facility, has also been contacted for a statement.
