According to WhatsApp, the update is designed to enable users to access their important conversations beyond their smartphones, allowing for interactions on multiple devices seamlessly. Users can now register a WhatsApp account directly from the iPad app, eliminating the previous requirement of pairing it with a phone.
Furthermore, WhatsApp has revamped its applications for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, offering drivers a safer and more convenient messaging experience while on the road. Users can now listen to messages, make calls, view call history, and access favorite contacts directly from their car’s display.
In addition, WhatsApp now supports the direct opening of PDF files within chats without the need for downloading them first. Users can also highlight and annotate PDFs on the web and desktop versions through integration with Adobe Acrobat.
Music enthusiasts will appreciate the ability to share tracks from Apple Music and Spotify directly to their WhatsApp Status, simplifying the process of showcasing their current playlist to friends.
