Heightened security measures have been implemented in Jewish schools and synagogues nationwide, especially in the North London region, following suspicions of an organization linked to Iran, known as HAYI, funding anti-Semitic attacks. In response to recent incidents, former Royal Marines and Parachute Regiment veterans have been enlisted to safeguard vulnerable areas.
The recruitment of ex-elite troops was disclosed after two Jewish men were stabbed in a suspected terrorist incident in Golders Green, along with a series of arson attacks. The Alma school’s fundraising efforts have been remarkably successful, with donations totaling £43,000 out of a £50,000 target.
