The incident took place at a storage rental site adjacent to Park Bridge Road near Daisy Nook Country Park. Emergency responders, including paramedics and firefighters, are at the scene on Park Bridge Road this afternoon, as reported by Manchester Evening News. It is unclear if this is related to the search at the industrial unit.
Officers from Greater Manchester Police were observed focusing on a silver car at the facility, which was subsequently searched. Greater Manchester Police has not yet provided details about the operation.
Witnesses noted several ambulances and fire trucks along Park Bridge Road, where they remained for several hours. Officers were seen opening the gates to access the site and concentrating their efforts on a car and caravans.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police informed the Mirror that they responded to a welfare concern on Park Bridge Road in Oldham. Following negotiations, the individual returned safely but was later arrested on suspicion of possessing class A drugs and taken into custody.
