A young police officer tragically lost his life this week due to injuries sustained while on duty.
PC Bradley Corke, aged 27, was critically injured in a collision involving his police car in Farningham on Thursday, March 19. Kent Police confirmed his passing. Additionally, another officer remains in critical condition, and a member of the public from a separate vehicle is being treated for serious injuries.
Kent Police released a statement honoring PC Corke’s sacrifice, stating that he courageously risked his life to protect others in danger. They praised his bravery, dedication, and commitment to serving the community.
PC Corke had been serving with Kent Police since May 2022, stationed in Tonbridge and serving the towns of West Kent. The force is providing support to his family and colleagues during this difficult time.
The tragic incident occurred on the westbound A20 London Road at the junction with Button Street, Farningham, involving a marked Ford Focus police vehicle and a VW Scirocco around 7.45 pm.
Kent Police is urging witnesses or individuals with relevant information or dashcam footage to come forward to assist with the investigation.
