West Midlands Police stated that the man had fallen from multiple floors within the building and was rushed to the hospital, where he later passed away. Authorities confirmed that there is no suspicion of foul play surrounding the incident.
In an official statement, a spokesperson for the police force mentioned, “We were alerted to the incident at Colmore Row in Birmingham city center yesterday at approximately 6:20 pm. The male victim, aged in his 40s, succumbed to his injuries after falling from a height within a building. Our condolences go out to his family during this difficult time. The incident is not deemed suspicious, and a report is being prepared for the coroner.”
An eyewitness, present at a nearby establishment, expressed her shock at the swift response of emergency services, stating, “I heard about the accident shortly after it happened.”
