A public audio recording indicates that a passenger plane collided with a pedestrian on the runway at Denver International Airport. The incident, involving a Frontier Airlines flight, occurred last night before a fire broke out on the aircraft. The crew of Flight 4345 confirmed that there were 231 individuals on board, and emergency vehicles were dispatched to the scene. Fortunately, no injuries were immediately reported among the passengers.
Reports suggest that a pedestrian mistakenly wandered onto a runway at the Colorado airport and was struck by the Frontier jet during takeoff. The plane aborted its takeoff as smoke and fire were detected inside the cabin. Passengers were quickly evacuated using slides for safety.
Frontier Airlines stated that Flight 4345 was departing from Denver International Airport to Los Angeles International Airport when it collided with a pedestrian during takeoff. The incident triggered smoke in the cabin, leading to the pilots aborting takeoff and evacuating passengers as a precautionary measure. The Airbus A321 was carrying 224 passengers and seven crew members. The airline is cooperating with authorities to investigate the situation.
This event occurred shortly after a United Airlines flight collided with a bakery lorry on the New Jersey Turnpike while preparing to land at Newark Liberty International Airport. The driver of the bakery lorry, Warren Boardley Jr., sustained glass-related injuries to his arm and hand and was taken to the hospital for treatment. The incident involved a Boeing 767 that had departed from Venice, Italy, and also clipped a light pole during landing at Newark International Airport.
United Airlines confirmed that the flight landed safely despite the contact with the light pole, and no passengers or crew members were harmed. Maintenance teams are assessing the aircraft’s damage to determine the cause of the incident.
