An individual known as the ‘Scissor Sister’ who was responsible for the death of her mother’s partner has stated she has reformed while adjusting to life outside of incarceration. Charlotte Mulhall, aged 44, was sentenced to more than 20 years in prison for the murder of her mother Kathleen’s boyfriend, Farah Swaleh Noor, aged 38, in a violent incident. The crime took place in March 2005 at their residence in Dublin while Mulhall and her sister Linda were under the influence of ecstasy.
Following her time in prison, Mulhall is now being granted temporary release for periods ranging from half a day to a full day over the upcoming months to help her reintegrate into society. The sisters dismembered the victim’s body with a bread knife in their bathroom post the fatal incident, disposing of most remains in a suitcase in the Royal Canal, with the head buried separately and never found.
Reportedly, Mulhall, a mother of one, has displayed deep regret for her actions and aims to move forward positively after serving her sentence. Her sister, Linda Mulhall, who was released in 2018 after a 15-year sentence for manslaughter, has also distanced herself from past troubles. Mulhall’s future living arrangements post-release remain uncertain, as she will be under strict parole conditions and would require special permission to leave the UK.
The prison sources have indicated that Mulhall will be closely monitored by the Independent Parole Board upon her release and will be assisted by the Probation Service to facilitate her reintegration into society. Any breach of the release terms could result in immediate re-incarceration. Mulhall is expected to be fully released by the end of the summer as per the insider’s information.
