Iran’s most potent military force has labeled 18 major corporations as “terrorist spy companies” and marked them as “legitimate targets.” The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) identified several American multinational firms in the technology and industrial sectors, such as Google, Apple, Intel, and Boeing, as being “engaged in terrorist activities.” The statement, conveyed by Iran’s semi-official Tasnim news agency, included a list of 18 companies, with only two being non-American entities based in the UAE.
A statement released on Tuesday advised employees of these companies to distance themselves from their workplaces immediately to ensure their safety. It warned that these companies should anticipate the destruction of their facilities in retaliation for each act of terror in Iran, commencing from 8 PM Tehran time on Wednesday, April 1st.
On Monday, US President Donald Trump issued a threat of extensive destruction of Iran’s energy resources and critical infrastructure, including desalination plants, if a resolution to the conflict with Tehran is not reached promptly. The warning specifically mentioned Iran’s Kharg Island, which Trump suggested US forces could seize during an interview with the Financial Times on the same day.
Despite Trump’s statements about negotiations with Iranian parliamentary speaker Mohammad-Bagher Qalibaf on Monday, the former IRGC commander denied any talks with the US, alleging that discussions facilitated by Pakistan were a pretext for American troop deployments.
A fresh round of attacks on Iran was launched by the US and Israel on Monday. In response, Tehran targeted a significant water and power plant in Kuwait, while Saudi Arabia and the UAE intercepted Iranian missile strikes.
The conflict has resulted in significant casualties, with more than 1,900 individuals in Iran and over 1,200 in Lebanon killed in US-Israeli strikes. Additionally, 19 individuals in Israel, 13 US military members, and several others in the Gulf region have lost their lives in the ongoing war, leading to millions of displacements in Iran and Lebanon.
