To take advantage of this opportunity, bookings need to be made just a few weeks before the departure date. Chris mentioned that this approach can also be effective for long-haul trips to destinations such as the Caribbean, Mexico, and Thailand.
Insiders at TUI have revealed that the company’s dedicated ‘Cheap Flights’ page is where significantly discounted flights are released. These reductions may occur due to factors such as unsold seats on a flight.
Chris highlighted, “By being flexible with your travel dates, you can easily discover budget-friendly getaways through our flights page. Regularly checking this page can unveil genuinely low fares, particularly as the departure date nears and remaining seats need to be filled.”
With TUI Airways operating from 22 UK airports, selecting a date, packing your bags, and flying from your nearest regional airport becomes convenient.
This method is most effective for travelers with some flexibility in their travel dates and destinations. Even during peak seasons, which span a six-week period in the summer, attractive deals could be secured using this approach.
Chris emphasized, “For customers open to various travel dates and destinations, this simple strategy can lead to substantial savings on flights and access to some of the most cost-effective fares.”
Typically, the lowest fares starting from £30 are found outside school holiday periods, like for flights in June or early July. However, travelers restricted to term times can still benefit from reduced flight costs and potential savings during busier periods.
For travelers able to avoid school holiday dates, return flights from £30 per person to Majorca, from £63 per person to Ibiza, and from £82 per person to Tenerife are available.
