Singer and actress Selena Gomez is facing a lawsuit from investors who allege that she engaged in fraudulent activities by failing to meet obligations related to the development and promotion of her mental health startup.
The investors had put in approximately $1.2 million in Wondermind Global, a venture launched in 2021 with a focus on enhancing users’ mental well-being. According to the lawsuit filed in federal court in Delaware, Gomez, a prominent figure on social media with over 500 million followers, was expected to play a key role in the company’s marketing efforts. However, the plaintiffs claim that Gomez and other company executives did not follow through on commitments, such as the creation of a mobile application.
The lawsuit asserts that Gomez allegedly signed a contract committing to certain actions but failed to fulfill them. The investors argue that the company did not materialize as promised and fell short on basic responsibilities like paying employees and vendors on time.
A spokesperson for Gomez has not yet responded to requests for comments on the matter. The lawsuit highlights that the investors were unaware of the company’s challenges until a news report surfaced in September 2025, revealing the issues. The plaintiffs are seeking to recover their investments along with legal costs incurred.
