With Real Time activated, Sky promises a more immediate viewing experience with less lag during live events.
Initially launched for Premier League matches in 2024, the Real Time technology is now expanding to include coverage from BBC and ITV, ensuring a smoother viewing experience for major events such as the World Cup. Sky’s statement highlights that Real Time, powered by Sky OS, aims to bridge the gap between live action and on-screen display for sports enthusiasts.
Viewers can easily enable Real Time during supported live sports broadcasts by selecting the option on their screens. The feature is accessible on both Sky Glass and Sky Stream devices through an opt-in button or dedicated channels like BBC One HD RT, ITV1 HD RT, and ITV4 HD RT.
