Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani has been taken to the hospital and is currently in a “critical but stable” condition, according to reports.
Giuliani’s representative made an announcement, requesting prayers for the well-being of “America’s Mayor.”
In a statement released at 6:46 p.m., Ted Goodman shared that Giuliani is bravely battling his current health crisis and urged people to join in prayer for him.
The exact cause of Giuliani’s hospitalization and his medical condition remain undisclosed at this time.
At 81 years old, Giuliani served as Mayor of New York City from 1994 to 2001.
Shortly before being hospitalized, Giuliani hosted his online show, “America’s Mayor Live,” from Palm Beach, Florida, where he appeared to be experiencing health issues with his voice.
Having established a strong relationship with former President Trump, Giuliani worked closely with him as a legal advisor during his presidency.
Trump utilized Truth Social to express his concern for Giuliani’s health, praising him as the best mayor in New York City’s history while reiterating unproven claims of election fraud.
In 2020, Giuliani was appointed by Trump to lead legal actions related to alleged election irregularities.
However, Giuliani faced legal challenges and was disbarred in 2024 due to making false statements about the 2020 election results.
A Manhattan appeals court made the decision after Giuliani continually spread misinformation about the election outcome.
In 2023, Giuliani was ordered to pay a substantial sum in damages to individuals he falsely accused of election fraud, leading to his bankruptcy filing.
Giuliani’s legal troubles stemmed from his involvement in post-election controversies and his adherence to baseless election fraud claims.
