A team of over 60 firefighters has responded to a series of rundown buildings in the southeast of London following a fire incident. The blaze on Fraser Road in Bexley prompted the dispatch of eight fire engines to combat the flames after the Brigade’s Control Office received the initial call just before 3 am. Multiple fire stations sent crews to assist at the scene.
By 5:30 am, the London Fire Brigade provided an update confirming the successful extinguishing of the fire. The blaze was controlled by 4:40 am, causing partial damage to one of the dilapidated structures. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire will be investigated by the Brigade’s Fire Investigation Unit. At the scene, 60 firefighters and eight fire engines are currently engaged in battling the blaze, with ongoing efforts to control the situation.
The London Fire Brigade has stated that the fire’s origin remains unknown as it broke out in the early morning hours. Initial reports summoned crews just before 3 am to address the fire at a commercial property on Fraser Road, with approximately 60 firefighters actively managing the incident.
