A young adult has been apprehended in connection with a string of alleged sexual assaults at a Sainsbury’s supermarket. Sussex Police disclosed that several women reported incidents occurring on an escalator at the Rustington store in West Sussex.
Confirming the arrest, authorities stated that a 19-year-old male from Littlehampton was taken into custody for sexual assault through physical contact following collaborative investigations with Sainsbury’s security. Individuals who may have witnessed the events or possess relevant information are urged to come forward.
A spokesperson for Sussex Police commented, “Following our inquiries, in cooperation with Sainsbury’s security, a 19-year-old male from Littlehampton has been detained for sexual assault through physical contact.”
