Parents are deeply disappointed following the announcement that a popular baby formula brand, Bonya First Infant Milk by Kendamil, will be discontinued starting July. The decision to pull the product from supermarket shelves was attributed to its relatively low sales.
Expressing their dismay on social media, parents lamented the news, with one mentioning their year-long reliance on Bonya and its significance for their baby. Another parent thanked the brand for the update, noting their child’s fondness for the formula.
In response to the impending discontinuation, Bonya has urged parents needing assistance in transitioning to contact the Kendamil customer care team. Launched in November 2024 as an economical alternative, Bonya First Infant Milk Stage 1 Formula Powder 800g is currently available online at Morrisons but is out of stock on Tesco’s website.
A statement released by the brand via social media explained that due to lower-than-expected sales, retailers in the UK opted to remove Bonya from shelves. The brand emphasized its commitment to ensuring families have access to their products by focusing on Kendamil production moving forward.
Despite the discontinuation in July 2026, Bonya will remain available for online purchase until then. The brand expressed pride in providing high-quality nutrition at an affordable price and highlighted their charitable efforts, including donations of over one million feeds of Bonya to families in need.
