The Deltapoll survey comes amid escalating tensions between the White House under Donald Trump’s administration and the EU, particularly regarding the conflict in Iran and negotiations for Ukraine to join the EU’s £78 billion loan program.
In response to recent developments, Keir Starmer addressed the European Political Summit, emphasizing the need for strengthened alliances and cooperation among countries. He highlighted the importance of Europe increasing its commitments to defense and security, underscoring the mutual benefits of closer collaboration with the EU.
The survey, conducted online with 3,353 British adults, including respondents from Wales and Scotland, between April 26 and May 1, 2026, has been weighted to ensure representativeness across the British adult population as a whole.
