Amid the ongoing cost of living challenges in the UK, many Brits are keen on selecting the right restaurant for their dining experiences. When choosing where to dine out, people want to ensure that their money is well spent.
Recently, I visited ASK Italian to try out their new spring menu offerings. ASK Italian has introduced a range of fresh and bold dishes inspired by the Italian lifestyle. One highlight is the Truffle Honey Prosciutto Pizza A Mano. The updated drinks menu now includes creative cocktails like the Pepperoni Negroni, Hot Honey Margarita, and Cherry Limoncello Meringue Cocktail.
Customers can also enjoy three sides for £12, making it a great value proposition. Additionally, for a limited time in May, diners can receive a complimentary Spritz of their choice on each visit by downloading and signing up for the ASK Perks Rewards App.
Trying out the new menu, I opted for the Bruschetta Pizzetta as a starter. This dish features Wildfarmed dough topped with pomodoro sauce, slow-roasted tomatoes, rocket, ricotta salata, and balsamic glaze.
As a lover of bruschetta and pizza, I found this dish delightful. The fresh slow-roasted tomatoes paired perfectly with the balsamic glaze, and a touch of chili oil added an extra kick.
While waiting for the starter, we were treated to the new Crispy Pepperoni nibbles. Initially skeptical, I found them addictive and couldn’t stop munching on them.
For the main course, I tried the Pollo Roquito pizza, featuring roast chicken breast, Roquito pepper pearls, balsamic red onions, Fior di Latte mozzarella, crispy prosciutto, and rocket on a tomato and mozzarella base. The pizza had generous toppings, and the dough was light and airy.
The Sea Bass alla Mediterranea, oven-baked sea bass with slow-roasted tomatoes, black olives, and capers on a bed of roasted potatoes, mushrooms, and spinach with a buttery white wine sauce, was also a standout dish. The sea bass was perfectly cooked, and the flavors blended harmoniously.
Among the side options, the Hot Honey Luganica Sausages stood out as a favorite. Served with smoked chilli jelly, they were a tasty treat that I couldn’t resist.
The dessert choice was the Chocostachio Bomb, a chocolate and pistachio mousse encased in Italian meringue. Light and flavorful, it was a perfect end to the meal.
For drinks, I tried the Hugo Spritz and the Hot Honey Margarita Italiana. The cocktails offered a mix of flavors, with the Hot Honey Margarita standing out for its unique spicy twist.
Overall, ASK Italian’s new menu impressed with its innovative dishes and refreshing options for the season. The value deals and extensive cocktail selection make it a great choice for dining out or enjoying drinks and desserts.
With stiff competition in the Italian food scene, ASK Italian stands out for its high-quality pizza and pasta offerings. The excellent service and accommodating staff further enhance the dining experience, making it a place worth revisiting.
I look forward to returning soon with friends to enjoy another delightful meal at ASK Italian!
