Family members of Perez Hilton disclosed that his children, niece, and sister were present at his residence shortly before he went live on TikTok, where he seemed to harm himself.
The family issued a new statement on Hilton’s website on Thursday, urging for privacy and understanding. They expressed, “The recent events have been extremely difficult for our family.”
“To ensure the safety, privacy, and well-being of the children, we kindly request that the media, paparazzi, content creators, and the public vacate the vicinity of the family’s residence and refrain from returning.”

Hilton, a single parent, has three children — a 13-year-old son, an 11-year-old daughter, and an 8-year-old daughter.
Upon realizing that Hilton was in a severe mental health crisis and causing harm to himself, the family acted swiftly to shield the children from further distress, as mentioned in the statement.
The primary focus currently is on assisting the children in coping with the traumatic event they witnessed and aiding them in returning home safely to restore a sense of normalcy and security.
Hilton Admitted to Hospital on Tuesday Evening
The entertainment blogger is currently hospitalized after reports surfaced that he had engaged in self-harm during a live TikTok broadcast on Tuesday night.
As per a statement from the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office to CBC News via email, Hilton was safely rescued and transported by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue to a local medical facility for treatment.
Law enforcement was dispatched to Hilton’s Miami residence on Tuesday evening following multiple concerned fan calls regarding someone live-streaming self-harm on social media.
Upon arrival, deputies confirmed that Hilton was alone during the broadcast after consulting with family members. Subsequent to the incident, authorities informed that they have taken a step back and are vigilantly monitoring the situation while supporting the family.
Hilton’s TikTok Account Deactivated
Stating that in cases involving individuals in mental distress or self-harm, deputies prioritize de-escalation by creating space and facilitating communication, a spokesperson conveyed this via email to CBC News.
The spokesperson added, “Unless there is an immediate threat to others, slowing down the situation and employing crisis intervention methods can reduce the chances of a harmful police encounter and lower the risks to the individual, deputies, and the public.”
