A father-of-four from Omagh, Nigel Humphrey, 40, is bravely facing a challenging health battle to spend more time with his children. Since his diagnosis in March 2025, Nigel has struggled with daily tasks and work due to what was initially thought to be a low-grade brain tumor. However, on April 14, devastating news came that his condition had worsened to a grade four glioblastoma, unresponsive to standard treatments.
With no further medical options, Nigel’s family is rallying to raise £110,000 for advanced overseas therapies like debulking surgery and personalized immunotherapy. Nigel’s sister Amanda expressed the family’s determination not to give up, highlighting their efforts to explore alternative treatments abroad and the support received for his care.
Nigel, a sports enthusiast and a dedicated father to four children, including twins Emma and Thomas, has been a pillar of strength despite his health challenges. Formerly employed as a welder, his positive attitude and determination to fight against brain cancer have inspired those around him.
Supporters can contribute to Nigel’s treatment fund through the GoFundMe campaign set up by his family. The community has shown tremendous support, organizing fundraising efforts to assist Nigel in his battle for more time with his loved ones.
