However, subsequent tests conducted while in custody indicated they were compliant with the legal requirements, leading to their release without any charges.
A spokesperson from Greater Manchester Police stated that on 2 May 2026, authorities responded to Manchester Airport due to doubts regarding the capability of two cabin crew members to execute their duties. The individuals were initially arrested based on breath test outcomes surpassing the aviation duty threshold. Nevertheless, subsequent assessments during custody demonstrated compliance with legal standards, resulting in their discharge without prosecution.
