Follow these steps to construct your origami goals:
– Cut out both goal squares to form the left and right goals.
– Fold each square upwards, ensuring the goal artwork is visible, with the Whoosh logo at the bottom.
– Fold and unfold the squares to create a central crease.
– Shape the bottom and top corners towards the middle crease.
– Fold down the top layer to form the front of the goal.
– Flip the shape over and repeat the folding of the top corners.
– Fold the top half down to refine the goal shape.
– Rotate the structure 180 degrees and gently shape it into a goal.
– Crease the edges for stability, and your goal is now ready for action!
Place both goals on the printed pitch and create a paper ball to start playing. Harry Brent, a senior sports writer at the Daily Mirror and host of the Make Football Great Again podcast, shared his excitement about the pop-up pitch, calling it perfect for settling disputes, reliving iconic moments, or enjoying a quick game during the tournament.
“If you’re planning a watch party, our wallchart provides insights into all the matches in the US, Mexico, and Canada,” Harry added.
The collaboration between the Daily Mirror and Tesco Whoosh has introduced an engaging giveaway, enhancing the tournament experience for fans. Now, it’s England’s turn to shine on the field.
