One individual is in critical condition in a hospital following a shooting incident in Brixton that left three others wounded.
Authorities, including armed police and emergency responders, swiftly arrived at the Southwyck House estate just after 1:14 am, providing immediate assistance to the injured victims.
The four individuals affected by the shooting sustained gunshot wounds and were promptly transported to the hospital for treatment. Among them, a 25-year-old man’s condition is reported as life-threatening.
The remaining three individuals, aged 21, 47, and 70, were also admitted to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
Subsequent investigations led police officers to search a grassy area outside the estate, continuing their inquiries with a significant police presence in the vicinity.
As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with the incident.
Eyewitnesses from the estate mentioned that the shooting occurred during a gathering, with one individual providing shelter to those seeking safety following the gunfire.
Authorities, led by Detective Chief Inspector Allam Bhangoo, assured the community of their commitment to identifying and apprehending the perpetrators responsible for the indiscriminate violence.
Residents are urged to come forward with any information that could aid the investigation. Police presence in the area will be heightened in the following days to address any security concerns.
