A newlywed woman, Tiana Krasniqi, tearfully expressed love for her husband through a viewing window as he faced a lethal injection in Texas. The execution of 37-year-old James Broadnax occurred despite a last-minute confession from his cousin, claiming to be the actual shooter in a double murder case from 18 years ago.
Broadnax, maintaining his innocence until the end, used his final words to proclaim his belief in God’s forgiveness and innocence in the crime. Krasniqi, a London law graduate, shared a distressing account of the execution, highlighting her husband’s suffering from the lethal injection’s effects.
